It takes 90 days for the egg to renew itself and 70-80 days for the life cycle of the sperm.

In Functional Medicine we address the underlying cause of disease.
By making diet, lifestyle changes and adding in nutritional therapies we can improve your fertility!
First we start with looking at your diet.
Switching to the Fertility Diet – the 3-day Fertility Diet Challenge is a great place to start! Filled with chef prepared recipes that will prepare your body for a baby! We always recommend switching to organic, consuming 8 glasses of water per day, consuming complex carbohydrates (such as brown rice and quinoa) that can keep your blood sugar stable. (Balancing your blood sugar is so important for fertility), eating lots of fruits and vegetables and healthy fats (such as avocado, coconut oil) and consuming grass fed, wild caught meats and fish.
Next we consider your lifestyle.
Making simple lifestyle changes such as meditation, visualization (try the Guided Fertility Visualization Exercise) and joining a support group are so important! Ask to join the Fab Fertile Support Group!
Even making these lifestyle changes alone such as joining a support group, adding in mind body therapies such as meditation, deep breathing, visualization and yoga can increase the chances of conception by up to 50%! (As found by mind body fertility pioneer Alice Domar PhD)
Next we can consider Functional Testing.
Testing our hormones with the Adrenal Stress Index Test (tests hormones with saliva and not blood giving a better measure of how cortisol can impact our hormones)
Food sensitivity testing can be another option. As many people are sensitive to foods (the top ones are gluten and dairy) and this can cause inflammation and when the body is under attack it is less likely to procreate.
Stool testing looking at DNA of the stool can also get to the bottom of potential parasites, pathogens and fungal infections that can when unchecked can contribute to many health conditions including infertility.
